During 1945, by the indepth spirit to safeguard the values of the Malankara Orthodox Church and forseeing the future of the church Rev. Fr. Yuhanon Narimattathil (Later known as Yuhanon Mar Severious Metropoltan Cochin) decided to form a community including the teenagers and the youth of the church, which known as St. Marys Orthodox Youth Movement Karattukunnel.

St. Mary's Orthodox Church Karattukunnel by the extreme efforts of our senior members and by the support of parish members is on the verge of being 75 years old by 2020, considering this church hosted the inaugration of the Platinum Celebrations as a 3 year plan. The inuagration of the Platinum celebrations was done Rev. Fr. Philip Tharakan – OCYM General Vice President.

We expect all the kind held, support and guidance by our fellow parish members to make this celebrations a grant success.
